Jan. 15th The only activity on our trip to Antarctica that required an additional fee was our tour to Bluff Cove from Stanley in the Falkland Islands.  We disembarked the ship in Stanley and traveled for about 30 min. in a small 16 passenger bus at first on paved roads then on unpaved (crushed rock) roads.  Then we were transferred to 4 off road vehicles for another 20 ride to Bluff Cove.  At Bluff Cove we were able to see King Penguins.  The only larger penguins are the Emperor Penguins which you see in Antarctica during the winter, just about impossible to do.    The trip was well worth it and the off road adventure just added to the fun.
