Aug. 3rd 2018-Moscow Kremlin

Kremlin is the Russian word for fort.  Every town has a Kremlin.  The original city of Moscow was inside what is now the Kremlin.  We were limited to visiting an area that housed 4 churches.  We visited two.   The Russian guards did not allow people to stand in the streets at all.  You could cross in the cross walks.   We traveled by bus from our ship, 45 min. to the gardens on the opposite side of the Kremlin from Red Square.  Then waited in line to go through security etc. before we could cross a bridge into the Kremlin.

The cannon is the largest ever made to shoot cannon balls but it was not practical to get the cannon balls loaded in the cannon so it was never used.
