Langkawi Overview
From the ship it was close to ¾ of a mile to meet out bus. Luckily we only had to the last ½ mile. It took about 45 min. to arrive at an area across the bay to visit Eagle Square for a photo stop. From there you could see the local tower which is only two years old. Next we traveled to the Mahsuri Tomb and visitor center. We stopped at a location to see how the sap is taken from Rubber trees. Our guide told us that currently the only tires made from rubber at those used in Formula 1 racing. Our final stop was at the Budaya Craft Complex, a real shopping area with local goods – no cheap touristy junk. Expensive but Becky came out with a few items.
